Bonaire 2010 Pictures

Here are some pictures from our January 2010 trip to Buddy Dive Resort in Bonaire. Everyday, except one, was sunny and around 86 degrees. Water temp was 79 degrees. We enjoyed 6 daytime boat dives and 6-8 shore dives including a dive on the Hilma Hooker wreck and a couple of night dives. Buddy Dive's house reef, Bari Reef, was spectacular, dropping down from 15 feet to over 100 feet in just a short swim from the dock. Our day trip up into Washington-Slagbaai National Park to do some sightseeing and some diving was awesome. We did a half day fishing trip and managed to catch a 4 foot wahoo. The mate cleaned it and Buddy Dive cooked it for us. We enjoyed happy hour (1/2 price drinks) everyday and the manager's rum punch on Friday evening was great. We ate at a number of different restaurants on the island. One afternoon lunch and drinks at Jibe City Surf Club on the SE side of the island was memorable. A return trip to Bonaire could certainly be in our plans for next year.
